What makes lines coplanar

In other words, the the Z Coordinate of the Lines and Polylines are not all at the same level. Lines that are not coplanar and do not intersect are called skew lines. Two planes that do not intersect are called parallel planes. Run the AecTableAdd command, and add an instance of your line schedule.

Select all of your lines when prompted to select objects. Pick the upper left corner position and hit Enter. The total length will be on the bottom line of the schedule. Parallel lines are coplanar they lie in the same plane and never intersect.

In three-dimensional geometry, skew lines are two lines that do not intersect and are not parallel. Two lines are skew if and only if they are not coplanar. Any two distinct points are on exactly one line. Any three distinct points that are not colinear are in exactly one plane. We typically think of these objects as points or lines, or 2D shapes. Points , lines , or shapes are non-coplanar if they do not lie in the same plane. Collinear points lie on the same line.

If points are collinear, they are also coplanar. However, coplanar points are not necessarily collinear. In the diagram above, points A, B, and C are collinear and lie in plane M so, they are collinear and coplanar you can draw infinitely many planes containing line AB.

Points A, B, C, and D lie in plane M so are coplanar but not collinear since they do not lie on the same line.
